  1. The "XMLmind FO Converter XSL-FO processor plug-in" add-on, installed by default in XMLmind XML Editor (Personal Edition and Professional Edition), adds "Convert to RTF", WML, DOCX, ODT, entries to the "Convert Document" submenus. This add-on leverages another commercial XMLmind product called XMLmind XSL-FO Converter.
  2. The "Word To XML" add-on, installed by default in XMLmind XML Editor (Personal Edition and Professional Edition), adds a "Import DOCX" entry to the File menu. This add-on leverages another commercial XMLmind product called XMLmind Word To XML.
  3. The "Convert Document" submenus exist in XMLmind XML Editor Personal Edition but all the menu entries run in “evaluation mode”, that is, they generate output containing random duplicate letters.
  4. The "File|Import DOCX" menu entry exists in XMLmind XML Editor Personal Edition but the corresponding command runs in “evaluation mode”, that is, it generates output containing random words replaced by string "[XMLmind]").

[3] and [4] make it easy evaluating the Professional Edition features using Personal Edition. However if you just want to use a free, streamlined, fully functional, XML editor, there is a very simple way to remove the "File|Import DOCX" menu entry and the "Convert Document" submenus: simply uncheck the "Evaluate XMLmind XML Editor Professional Edition features" check box and restart XML Editor.
