4.1. Specifying the type of a division
You'll often want to specify the type of a newly inserted division. This division type is specified by the type
attribute of the div
element. Its value is "dedication
", "preface
", "abstract
", etc, when the div
is contained in front
and "part
", "chapter
", "section
", when the div
is contained in body
.
This is done by
- explicitly selecting the
div
element by clicking on "div" in the node path bar; - using the Attributes tool to type a value in the "type" row.
Of course, the Attributes tool may be used to specify any attribute on any element. For example, you may also want to use it to specify the
n
orsubtype
attributes of adiv
.

"): "Inserting custom element templates".
